Five Years of Gospel Ministry in Dearborn

Dearborn Baptist Church has celebrated its fifth anniversary with a month of celebration, fellowship, and thanksgiving for what God has done. It has been a joy to gather as a church family and remember the Lord’s faithfulness through these first five years.

Among the greatest blessings were four baptisms, including a man who left Islam and trusted Jesus Christ as his Saviour. Each baptism is a reminder that our work is about people hearing the gospel, believing on Christ, and following Him. Please pray for these believers as they grow in the Word of God and take their next steps of obedience.

Thank you for helping make this ministry possible through your prayers and faithful support. As we look back with gratitude, we are also looking ahead to more opportunities to proclaim Christ in Dearborn.

Investigating Islam — Now Published

Michael Germi’s book, Investigating Islam, is now published. This book was produced here in Dearborn with Michael over this year. Michael’s background in Islam and his faith in Christ give him a valuable perspective as he examines the claims of Islam in light of the Bible. We are thankful to see this resource available to help Christians speak with knowledge and compassion and encourage Muslims to consider the truth of the gospel.

We are also planning to launch investigatingislam.com (currently in development) and run an advertising campaign to introduce people to this resource. Please pray for wisdom as these plans develop, for clear communication, and for the book to reach readers who are willing to investigate the claims of Christ.

Pumpkin Patch & Friend Day

Our Pumpkin Patch and Friend Day outreach efforts are ongoing. These opportunities help us meet neighbors, welcome families, and invite people to become better acquainted with our church and the gospel we preach. Please pray that friendly introductions will lead to meaningful conversations and lasting relationships.

Searching for Tyndale

I also had the opportunity to participate in Searching for Tyndale, a documentary project connected to the history of the Bible and the 500th anniversary of Tyndale’s New Testament. The subject connects closely with our apologetic work in Dearborn. In conversations with Muslims, questions about the preservation and trustworthiness of Scripture often become an opportunity to explain why we can have confidence in the Word of God.

I encourage you to watch Searching for Tyndale. Please pray that it will encourage confidence in Scripture and help open conversations about Christ.

Our Dearborn Community

As election season brings community concerns into conversation, please pray for Dearborn, its residents, and those serving in public office. We want to be good neighbors, listen carefully, and represent Christ with grace and truth. Our calling remains to proclaim the gospel and minister faithfully to the people God has placed around us.

Purchasing our current property remains a goal for our church. Please pray for the Lord’s direction, wisdom, and provision in His timing as we consider the long-term needs of the ministry.

Please Pray Specifically For:

  • The four believers who were baptized, that they will grow in faith, understand Scripture, and remain faithful to Christ.

  • Our Pumpkin Patch and Friend Day outreach, that visitors will feel welcome, hear the gospel clearly, and continue in conversation with our church.

  • Michael Germi and Investigating Islam, along with the planned website and advertising campaign, that these resources will reach receptive readers and bear lasting spiritual fruit.

  • Dearborn’s residents and leaders during election season, and wisdom, boldness, and compassion for our church as we serve our neighbors.

  • The future goal of purchasing our property, that God will guide each step and provide according to His will.

Thank you for your prayers and continued support.
